Could be a solar, or other naturally powered, grip that never needs recharging. Thinking green.
But, as long as we're dreaming a speculating, what I'd really like to see is an aphrodesiac (sp?) beam that puts any woman I take a picture of totally within my power.
Yeah, that's it: more power, uhg, ugh, ugh.

I would say the underline is "Photographie" and the logo seems to be AletiA, AlettA, MetM (M&M) or something similar.

Something new?

Hello to all (new member sticking his 2p worth in )

Something new? Bearing in mind the K5 is recent but already shipping and from what I've seen, no other manufacturer has yet to include such a measure, my guess is this...

IN-CAMERA LENS CORRECTIONS TO RAW FILES.

Should only require a firmware update.

Any thoughts? Some might wonder what the benefit of corrected RAWs would be, but it would suit me fine. Images should come out of the camera as accurate as possible, so why not?

I want to see a DSLR that can be used as a self defense weapon.

I doubt that's it -- geometrically correcting a raw file that represents a Bayer-patterned mosaic of differently colored pixels will result in some weird beast of a file that no raw converter program would know how to handle. Lens correction should occur AFTER demosaicing, and it doesn't make sense to subsequently re-encode a raw file after you've already gone to that trouble.

Canon and Nikon already have this, so thats a big no.

I imagine it's something not that exciting at all.

Something overpriced that doesn't do far enough, is my guess.

Besides, sometimes you want a fisheye effect.

The thing does something else other than geo tagging.
Yes, it is a geo tagger in the grip that -- with a firmware update -- enhances the camera to be used as a navigational device. You'll get driving/walking directions on the rear LCD screen.

It comes with a cable that connects to your car so that it can stop the car at strategic places. It then takes a picture automatically and starts the car again.

Optional accessories include a re-constructed weather balloon that will lift you into space. The GPS unit will continue to work and give you exact altitude readings. This is the real reason for the "K10D in space" tests. It all comes together now...

It cannot be about tethering since practically every non-Pentax DSLR on the planet can do that already and with PK Tether there are already unofficial ways to add this feature to the K-7/K-5.

Doesn't make sense for a multitude of reasons.

Whatever it will be, it is bound to disappoint after such a teaser.

What would be a cool feature if a new battery grip had an integrated transmitter for remote radio flash control. An LCD with some buttons should allow you to change the power settings for each flash individually. I wonder why camera manufacturers haven't come up with something like this yet. They could build in proprietary radio receivers into their flashes that would work with such a grip.

I'd want to see a really cool focusing screen. I think other brands could use this as well, and the first one could well fit the K-5 K-7 only. But that's wishful thinking, too.
