Does this have a chance of becoming a patent? Where is the invention?

Yvon Bourque, the owner of the PentaxBlog, had a company called Aletta photographic :
Wooden 4x5" view camera kit - Photo.net Large Format Forum
Search about aletta photographic on ebay, it was a company than build full format bellow, and sold a chamber kit.

Did you all miss today's clue?

"There's a new kid in Town...we are not Pentax, nor are we sponsored by Pentax, we just love Pentax more, hence the releases for Pentax first. We will have more than one surprise."

Great find! Thanks to Froeschle's impressive reconstruction (I briefly tried to use Focus Magic but got nowhere near his result) I think that the logo mystery is solved.

It was somewhat more complicated, but does it really matter? So, if e.g "aletta" (thanks to "Couscousdelight") is a brand used by Yvon Bourque, he might be proud of his findings by marking it with his "stamp"

... on the other side it e.g. also just could be a clever marketing trick (?) ...

I'd be interested in what you did to get your version of the logo. If you could share your process, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Things that would be super cool:

-A tethering option. Although it wouldn't be new, unless it was wireless 3g or something. Although I shudder at the idea of sending 16-mp, 14-bit RAW files on a 3g network.

-Having a radio transmitter flash, with full, built in ttl support and full control from the camera would be hella cool, to the max. I would buy 4.

-A battery grip that overrides the shutter button when poorly used, and takes photos at more appropriate times.

Everyone's missing the obvious.

They're going to be re-releasing the K7 and K5 in Red, Orange, Green, White, Purple, Pink,....

Note the "we". So, we're talking about a new product from Yvon for Pentax and others to come.

Not a new product from Pentax. You're not reading carefully enough...

He sure did a great job in making the community listen. Congrats to you, Yvon

I don't know what it is. Could be a plugin for the grip though. Or a screen/EVF connected via HDMI. I do not expect anything big.

I reduced my expectations to something like a cupholder attachment. :ugh:

Yvon, you've got our attention, now you need to deliver!

lets look at one key factor

-its not pentax specific(says pentax firs then canikon, etc)

To me this means it will be an accessory using a common connection (hotshoe, etc). Don't think its a hacked firmware or anything because canon has had that for quite awhile.

My hope would be bluetooth module for the hotshoe that plugs into the pc control port and pairs with an android phone for remote tethering but I don't even know if thats possible. Nevertheless, would be fun to mess around with! Don't have a k-5 or k-7 so I don't know what other connection interfaces are available but tethering to my phone would be very cool!
