for what it is intended for it's a cool piece of kit
nothing was ever fast about the film versions of these things either so not an issue
and as time passes the construction will change
for the tech it's cheap

so you want the multiple image sensors to move around inside the camera to get rid of the gaps in between them?
Because that's exactly what this panorama camera does, scan the entire 6x17 image plane with an (almost) one-dimensional pixel-array (hence the low prices starting from 21.5 k€)

and minimal exposure time of one second isn't really suitable for certain kinds of photography (but no problem for landscapes i guess )

Correct, that's a scan camera.

Several companies in the German-speaking part of Europe make them. There must be some tradition for this. Or a market because of all the existing large field lenses. IIRC, even the first digital Leica was a scan camera.
