Let me see if I understand...

LMAO...
You're worried about how a camera "looks" with a big lens attached?
OK, just for those with this worry, here's how it "looks":

There is also a Pentax 1200mm/f8 lens, that is a lot smaller in size, but still uge.

The primes they promise are certainly a step in the right direction. But I'm not sure if the NX-es are selling well anywhere except for Korea. BCN rankings and Amazon have them way way down the list. I'd be a bit scared buying into such a system, but perhaps by the time they have these lenses available things will have changed.

And that one is nice as well: K 2000/13.5 Reflex

How many sold though, probably not much if any.

That 16 f/2.4 pancake sounds interesting. Be interested to see the image quality from that one.

Regarding the 700mm

Assuming it's ~f/5.6 and not a mirror lens it's going to be huge and exceptionally expensive. I guess you could get away with f/6.3 as well and still be able to market it.

Anyway. Micro mount cameras on mega-teles just mean that you design both the lens and the camera as one ergonomic entity.

i.e. put shutter controls and dials on the lens itself. Literally the camera becomes just the imager and everthing is actually controlled from the lens. You can then design the lens to be what you hold and the camera is an accersory for the lens as it were.

Given that the lens could weigh 5 or more times the camera it's a feasable approach.

30mm f2, 16mm f2.4m, 20mm f2.8

seems to that pentax is lagging behind Samsung in fast pancake development

Pentax is not lagging behind. The lenses can be made faster for APS-C DSLR, but because of the smaller registration distance the optical design is easier for Samsung.

Personally I'll wait to see what Pentax is up to. I was never too impressed with Samsung.

30/2 is excellent lens, 20/2.8 is very good.

Seems like currently Samsung is hampered most by the fact that their sensor technology seems pretty stagnate. Feels a little like the four thirds cameras, where the cameras are nice, but their sensors are no longer cutting edge.

Well, at least Samsung isn't going into the whole mirrorless derby with mediocre effort, I'll give them that. For existing NX system users (though admittedly, I haven't seen one in my area thus far), the promise of such rapid lens development is a positive for them.

I wouldn't worry so much about their old sensor, they'll eventually make better ones - I think the worrisome point in the NX system is the lack of third-party support I've seen thus far.

The local prices here are pretty tempting, though. There's an NX100 bundle here that's selling for just over $500, and it includes the body, 20-50mm lens, 20mm pancake, and a small external flash. If I weren't saving up for some WR lenses, I'd be willing to try this one.
