Oh good grief... Only in Japan.... LOL

But I guess at least these kind of offers are produced at a negligible cost (engineering wise) and offer a significant "fan price" profit margin.

Next will be "Transformers."

Although I don't think these help Pentax's reputation as a serious camera company...

Well I know my GF likes this and actually has been asking me if I'm going to get it. Too bad that pre-orders are over and the fact that it costs $1150 ... I wonder how much the resellers on eBay and the likes will charge when they get theirs?

Battroid Valkyrie version, please!

File:VF-1S-Strike-Valkyrie-03.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(From Macross, or Robotech as I understand it was called in the US market -- although bizarrely, the Valkyrie was apparently coopted as a Transformer called Jetfire in the USA, so I guess we've just come full circle.)

But anyway, yeah if Pentax is going to push through with this kind of marketing, why just Japan? Why not the whole world? For sure, there must be something that's internationally famous they can paint a K-r with..... XD
They did do red, white, and blue for the US... albeit not on the same camera.

I agree... but is it better or worse than "What is Pentax?" "They're still in business?"

I wish they made all their cameras weathersealed so they could have run these ads alongside:

I'm surprised how many people I've come across (mainly ladies ) actually love the concept of a colourful camera. I personally think it's a great idea even though I like to keep it simple myself.
