not when 1.4 TC's are involved, but you have to agree that if pentax produced a 400mm f/5.6 it would be a step in the right direction towards developing further super telephoto lenses. And if they did produce telephoto lenses they would be more inclined to produce TC's, Perhaps we might live to see a 800mm f/5.6 - which interestingly is the limit of the in body IS used in pentax cameras.
it's not often you see the Pentax 67 800mm f/4 - I use the M*67 800mm f/6.7 which weighs in a 6.4Kg and it is much more manageable than the f/4 version - which is still the longest auto-aperture non-mirror prime 67 lens in history.
