These specific specs? Probably not. A FF Pentax? Yes, it crops up every time we start expecting a new camera.

Damn that is an ugly body.

While I would love to see Pentax enter the FF market, I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Just to clear things up, that's what the full-frame *ist D was supposed to look like. It was a prototype (MZ-D was the name) showcased at photokina 2002. There's a thread on it somewhere, but I can't find it.

Nice photoshopping job!

I know I saw a link to this "K-1" as part of 1001noisycameras.com's April Fool's Day round-up, though I don't recall (read "lazy") who originally hosted it.

That thing looks like the camera equivalent of a 1978 Pontiac.

And it had a 6mp (very crappy which Led to it cancelation) sensor also found in a contax FF. Camera.

Thé mz-s (base of this mz-d/k-1 prototype) has a brilliant interface btw.

Oh please,

not this again.

This thread needs to die like the Contax that shared the same crappy sensor.

crappy sensor notwithstanding, this camera would've been huge. Especially in body colours

but it would not seem likely for Pentax today to have such a wieldy body (not to say so utterly ugly I would never contemplate it)

That one's just for Adam...
The rest of us can only lust after Adam's mode capabilities on our own cameras.
At least the boys...

Unlike men themselves, this camera looks complicated, kind of like this:

That was stolen from POTN, actually. Supposed to be a Canon.
