Is there a way to have it auto detect the lenses? Selecting auto does nothing for me, even though the lens listed in lightroom for the picture is clearly a match for the lens profiles.

I think all Pentax Lens Mount with Chipped are included. My old tamron 28-300 mm is detected.

Does anyone know if the lens profiles only show up if you are shooting RAW? I use Lightroom eventhough I only shoot jpegs and there aren't any profiles that show up for me except for a couple Canon and Nikon lenses. I would love to get rid of some of the purple fringing on my DA18-250.

is it just me or DA 55-300mm profile lacks CA correction?

to those who ask how to use it: (IIRC, I can't check right now) you need to be in Develop mode, and there is a "lens correction" section near the bottom of right pane. you need to select "Profile" and then the lens will be autodetected if its profile is available.

I just want to make sure that I am looking in the right spot since I do not see it on my install.

I have Lightroom 3.4 and if I go to Developer->Lens Correction->Profile, check Enable Profile Connections, select Auto, and look for Pentax under "Make" in Lens Profile.... well, it isn't there.

Am I missing something?

Mine is recognized.
You should write metadata for ALL your pics and read them back.

That did the trick. TYVM! K10D + DA 18-55 WR is showing up as DA18-55 II though. Is this normal? It doesnt really bother me though... as long as it's recognized as something. And is there any way to do this automatically during import?

Metadata will be read correctly at import. It was just for old files which need metadata to be reread.
Now that lr 3.4 is installed, new files will detect lenses correctly.
