BIG price drop for K-5 in CANADA

I received an email from Pentax Canada yesterday (Thurs May 12th) informing off a
price drop for the K-5 effective today (Friday May 13th) . How's that for Good News on
a day normally associated as being ominous

On a side note, whether or not your (local) retailer decides to act, is up to them

So around 1300$ ? That's the price of Prodigital 2000. If this one also goes down I think i'll get one

I'm still loving my K-7 so I'll wait for spring 2012 when the K-5 falls down below $900, or I may just skip it altogether and go for it's successor, which should offer even more dynamic range and ISO 2,048,000.

Interesting... I am in the same boat; have my k-7 waiting to get the k-5 and then sell my k10.

Now listing at C$1,299 at Broadway Camera online as well as C$1,299 on ProDigital's Canadian arm (123easyship). With HST, may as well just buy locally as there are no real savings to be had online!

This is getting to the point when I will buy my second K-5.

I'm waiting for the $1250.00 price point .. have plenty of time as I have a K-5, and I'm up to my ears in K-20D's :- )

For what it's worth, London Drugs in Coquitlam matched the Gastown Photo in Vancouver pricing of $1,199 (Mike @ LD punched away on the keyboard for a few minutes, then came back saying he could match that price).

Never hurts to ask!
