3.7VDC, 1900mAh battery in the M monochrome. 1900mAh sounds right but 3.7 VDC ?
Isn't that a bit too small ?

Ain't necessarily so.

Live view drains the battery of my K-01
faster than the mirror-flipping in the K-5.

Fuji has been averaging a firmware update every 3 months with it X-mount system. Sadly this is not uncommon, and is some ways good. Fuji has been listening to its customers and making changes and improvements.
Fuji also lied to it's customers and said ISO 1600 was ISO 6400 or so, in order to impress the customers with how little noise there was.

No thanks.

Leica M cameras don't have live view - at present, though a newer model has it so I suspect Leica will be beefing up the capacity of the battery. And the Leica Monochrom doesn't need demosaicing, as there is no bayer filter on the sensor.

Taking all that into account my Lecia M cameras still run through batteries faster than any other camera I currently use.

It's partly because its electronic components are less integrated than those of mainstream cameras.

Live view, image review and edits, and mirror lock up drain batteries on DSLR's. Cold weather, too.

DPR
"By our tests, the X-E1's measured sensitivities are about 1/3 to 1/2 stop lower than marked, which is unusual for a modern camera. This means that for any given light level, shutter speed and aperture on the X-E1 has to use a higher ISO to get an image of the same brightness as an accurately-rated camera."

I think you're being a bit melodramatic. Link to a test where Fuji ISO is off by as much as you claim.

I haven't seen that much difference. Do you mind sharing your source? Thanks in advance!
Since you ask so politely, of course I don't mind! I was referring to the X100 debacle, of course, not the X-E1.

Fuji claimed 6400 ISO and delivered 1076 according to DxO Testing for the X100:

DxOMark - Compare cameras side by side

Personally, I don't really care that the magnitude of Fuji's lies are less now.

1600 is 1000 and 3200 is 1012.
800 = 504
400 = 253
200 = 127

We are waiting DXO test of X system. DPR is non-professional resource.

How about a test for that sensor from Samsung. No tests, I think they know it's crappy in the end.

wow, missed that, when did they do that test, since the 20mp sensor is out for some time.

DxOMark - Compare cameras side by side: Pentax K-5 IIs | Nikon D7100 | Samsung NX20

Not to shabby, but not at the same level as K-5 IIs or D7100.

The NX10 is offcourse just the same sensor as Pentax K-7.

It's not the best sensor, but not bad.

The question is: How much of the difference in performance is due to the image processor?

Even when using the same sensor we see noticeably different results between Nikon, Sony, & Pentax.
