K-30 line
K-5 becomes the K-3
K-1 Full frame
Pentax is running out of numbers though. We might see a K-3 and K-1 FF if Pentax has plans for 2 bodies or we might see a K-1 and a K-1s. The K-3 might just be the K-5III.
It will be an interesting Fall for Pentax. They need these cameras to be available for pre-order or shipping by the holidays.
Is there actually any credible source for the name K-3?
K-300 / K-30 / K-3 makes sense as a APS-C naming scheme until they end up at K-500 / K-50 / K-5(again) but a FF-model wouldn't fit.
While a name like LX might be recognized by some(us), I think it would be a mistake not to keep the far more recognizable "K".
I think they should just call the FF-Model the "Pentax K" and add mk. II, II, etc. to future models.
