That leaves h and s, and I think s has the upper hand because it has a more crisp sound to it.
I can't imagine any serious company naming their camera "perverted" (エッチ), so S definitely wins that showdown. But your whole reasoning is based on English, which makes it a bit questionable for Japanese.

Who care about the name, could be K-5100 or K-T3 or K-Tel

Hehe I did not know the Japanese pronunciation for K-h would sound like "perverted" in Japanese. My deduction and reasoning was kind of half joking/half serious. Also, wouldn't K-l be difficult for the Japanese to pronounce? I don't know. Well, I know it would be for Chinese (I know they are not the same) regardless of transliteration.

Hah! I didn't even think about that, and K-os is the name of one of my favorite music artists!

KS looks like K5 so I don't think it will be that.

KY will probably be too slippery

I'd start with a new prefix, especially if it has major differences to the K5.

Here come the M-e, the M-x and the L-x!
But they may want to reserve the rebirth of the M-series for mirrorless cameras...

An astute point.

if you look at the lens roadmap - everything on it they said they were gonna make has appeared except the DA super-telephoto so i'm hoping for that
Well we had also DA*30mm/f1.4 and a 1,4x TC on the lens roadmap.

Not on the last one presented. The only thing still lacking from the last (and current) roadmap is the "supertelephoto".

If Pentax makes DA*30/1.4 - how to be with outstanding FA31/1.8?
Which lens must be cheaper?

I think DA*28/2 or 25/2.8 are better move...

I am still hoping for a DA 50 mm Ltd (F 1.8?), but apparently I happen to be the only one over here...

Not the only one. An FA 50/1.7 in DA (not-L) clothes would make me happy.

O those lovely lens wishes, don't we all have them from time to time.

Go to the lens survey thread in the lenssection

To me the next lens priority is a super telephoto though I personally have no need. The price would be high but so many complaints about that void. They used to make one that got great reviews. You'd think they just dust off those specs.
