Why in the world would they want to do that? I have an Auto 110 and a couple of lenses. Its a
neat little camera, but, its my understanding that there were only about 2,000,000 of
them made. Pentax only made a handful of lenses for it, and virtually no third party lenses
were made.
Throw in the fact that the camera and lenses have been out of production for over 25 years, which
means that only a fraction of the lenses probably still exist. There are no recent or current cameras
using that mount.
The Auto 110 lenses were fixed aperture. Aperture control was in the body, a technique that was
never repeated in any Pentax camera.
So, there's no great body of users for Pentax to tap into and the supply of old lenses is pretty
small. Plus, there are technical limitations that are problematic in today's digital world.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Auto 110. I just don't think that there is a business case to be made for making
it compatible with A110 lenses.
