If I may differ from the theme, I think Pentax has something here. I want to see sample images from this new sensor type. Look at the details like the extended on-camera flash for natural redeye reduction and better quality flash images. True multi-image HDR, RAW... It's a high-end interchangeable-lens P&S. They might sell one.

$800 is ridiculous and I have no idea what they were thinking, arriving so late to this field with so little to offer. You can buy any of the competitors with bigger sensors for less than that.

the hot shoe mounted viewfinder alone costs about twice what i paid for my k110d. :O

I too think it's a bit too pricey for me. That said I bought a Fuji X100 and a lot of people thinks that's too expensive. I'm not disagreeing but if a product meets your individual needs then it's not too expensive. Perhaps the members of this forum are not it's intended market segment.

Not for me at least. I have been planning to get a mirror-less but not this sensor size and it's not that small compared to NEX when you compared the sensor size (1/13 of NEX sensor as per review)

This camera is catering for the LOMO crowd.

Pentax already had cosmicar building their CCTV lenses, which often has f stops brighter than 1.4.

The main use of this camera will be making facebook photos and youtube video in low light.

It is not a camera for photography, it is a carry-able video camera that caters to a social need.
