Well done Christine, thanks for presenting these images.
No opportunity to come to Sydney myself, but this thread has brought just that little bit more perspective on this Q-mount development. Interesting and exciting.

Definitely not keen on the hot pink K-r - could have been a bit more baby pink or the pink in the 2nd Jill-E bag...

Thats pretty good. It's now 399USD +60frt to buy from the U.S
I was quoted a price of A$ 590 before Christmas!
The same place quoted me A$ 678 for an LX-5.
The the US the LX-5 is now also 399 USD.

I just picked those prices of online stores & was just commenting that we still pay more now even the A$ is above 1:1.

Wondering if the Q will be pitched here at the similar price as the US.

Yeah, I got the same info from the Olympus rep.

It's kind of embarassing actually - the rep was extolling the features of the current generation to a random newbie, and I walked up to him and said "Look, I know I shouldn't be asking this, but when are the new models going to be announced???"

He stammered, uhmed and ahhed a fair bit before whispering "Thursday."

Upon which the newbie said "Why didn't you tell me new models are going to come out???"

Oops.

I said to him "You should really have the new models on display." The poor rep agreed with me and said "I know. We tried, but Japan wouldn't let us."

The Oly cameras should come out in a few hours (Taiwan release).
Based on 43rumours info, the E-P3, EPL3, and E-PM1 should be released, together with a 12mm F2.0 and a 45mm F1.8.
Word on the street is that the E-P3 has a flash and the others do not - which is a step backwards from the E-PL2. All AF is suposed to be ridiculously fast. Same rejigged 12MP sensor on all.

I will be very interested in the E-PM1, if it has IS and a hot-shoe.

My local camera shop said they are getting the new models in within 2 weeks so I should be able to play with them.

I'm interested in the E-PL3 since it's only slightly bigger than the E-PM1 but has an articulating screen :-)

However, I am a bit concerned at web sites saying even the E-PM1 is bigger than the GF3.

Now that I have seen the Q, I want a camera as small as possible (but with interchangeable lenses). I'm willing to consider GF3, but I am unwilling to consider anything much bigger than that. In comparison to the Q, the current/old generation u4/3 bodies look ginormous! Definitely so yesterday.
