So-so...Time will answer. Anyway, Ricoh keeps Japanese working culture.
Hoya destoyed it.
QC of last 4 years were below average...Maybe Ricoh makes it better...

Still, i'm surprised Hoya chose Ricoh, Instead of Canon way back then. Canon was buying Pentax with a great sum to Hoya.

I think there's no proof of that. Or have you?

I'm not feeling good about this.

Ricoh brought out the GXR.

I can't think of a goofier camera system in the digital age.

I've been working for Ricoh for the past 6 years. They have the habit of buying brands for technology, and then sticking their own logos on it.

I seriously dislike the idea of a disappearing Pentax brand.

There was a rumour Canon wanted to buy Pentax in order to get 645 system (1Ds replacement for better IQ and made switch from APS-H to FF for their 1D)
I'm glad that's not Canon, since it would mean no more bodies for the K

Yes, not even Q comes close.

I wonder what that means for Pentax future mirror-less offerings. What are the odds they decide GXR + Q is enough and concentrate on these two bizzare systems, foregoing a APSC EVIL?

Egads, I hope not.

Please let Ricoh know how you feel about this using this poll: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/150418-pentax-do-we-wa...led-ricoh.html

I hope the Pentax name stays, but even if it doesn't I'd get more confused looks owning a Ricoh DSLR, than I get with owning a Pentax

Maybe Penoh? Or Rintax?

Anyhow, the name will probably remain, it would be silly to change it.
