Nothing. By that time one will use wireless lens-body communication and motors and batteries so small that the lens doesn't need an external power source either

Seriously though, adding some electrical contacts didn't kill the F or K mounts. So, should be fine with M too.

Actually, I am wondering if anybody still out for a new mirrorless mount will do exactly this

(i.e., mechanically an M mount, but with electrical contacts added)

Maybe something along the lines of Contax AX and contrast detect?
