Sample Photos taken by the Q

Zav's friend found a Flickr site with some photographs of the Pentax Q. Take a look at his thread. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/152204-pentax-q-auto-1...k-1-24x36.html

Also amongst the Flickr photos are some samples taken by the Q.

Really.

The only problem is that it's practically impossible to find anything in a 51 page thread if you haven't followed it.

Likes to everyone that does.

The trick is to find good looking models to get good looking pictures. =)

This is the first time that I am seeing these photos. At ISO 3200, there is obviously a huge amount of NR applied to the Q sample, which gives the image a smeared look compared to the S95, which has more noise, but still looks better, IMO. However, we must bear in mind that all of these samples from the Q are pre-production and my not reflect the final production model.

I found it extremely impressive at 3200 considering the sensor size. Realistically I seldom ever shoot at 3200 on the K-7.

Yes, but nex is bigger, and has few though still voluminous AF lenses.
Re quality and concept coherence, nex makes only sense with the 16mm pancake, but it is a bottleass...

the S95 is around $300 and the Q will be around $800...

I would save the $500.

(or if I just really wanted a small interchangeable lens compact, I'd opt for the Sony NEX-C3 which is much smaller than the NEX-5)

Does the S95 have in body SR that works great with a 160° fish-eye in 1080p30 mode ?

Good question.

Mine is this : does Pentax Q work with Pentax O-GPS1, allowing astro-tracing helped by sensor shift function ?

High ISO in good light never reveals much. Turn the lights down and then we can talk...
