Very much a fashion thing. Still... My girlfriend saw it and said she wanted one, although the photo makes it look a bit more robust and chunky than it really is...

I saw that it was coming to europe in my favorite colour. I have a yellow car (actually this is my fourth yellow car) and a yellow mini laptop. So a yellow K-5 or Full Frame camera would be great, or even a yellow 645D That yellow K-r would look great with either black or brown grip and that need little yellow DA 35mm/f2.4 lens. It's a pitty that my budget is spend for this year.

Well, Christmas is on it's way! Can't say I agree with you on the colour yellow, though all credit to you if you have the style to get away with it! Like the idea of a yellow K-r with yellow lens though. Seems a shame to have a colourful camera and black lens.

Well, I certainly do not understand why they chose to stick the white kit lens on the body.

Otherwise, I think it could work with the right style and personality. The black grip and liner looks great on it, and I think a black lens works pretty well.

You can get the "Bumblebee" schemed Chevy Camaro, a yellow classic timex camper watch, and a yellow laptop. Maybe put on a black on black three piece suit, a silky yellow skinny tie, and some black wayfarers... I can definitely see someone like that as a quirky yet awesome spy/action movie character.



No, really, the yellow camera looks pretty cool to me.

the yellow n black looks nice. I own the white k-r and love it. Someone mentioned the 'bumblebee' look of the camera: I wish there would be more options of lenses, lens hoods, filters, lens caps, hand grips, etc. matching the variery of colors the Pentax comes in. I understand there might be an increase in prduction but I would be willing to pay the extra for style as long as performance is not compromised and the product is the same as the black versions.
