May be true or not.

I've seen in an early hands-on report (from Japan) about the 645D some questioning why window structures in the distance had color seams. It looked ugly enough for him to raise the question in his blog. From the test shots, it clearly was color moire from the missing AA filter. And in the particular case, the pattern was irregular enough to avoid a problem for the overall picture.
I did not say - no such cases - I said we did not hear a lot... you lead LL (or getDPI) forums heavily populated by MF(DB) users ? when was the last time somebody complained ? and moire is visible (another story that C1 and Phocus have tools to fight /hide/ moire to some extent)

Ricoh don't officially acquire Pentax until Oct 1 plus that has mostly been speculation by some of us that they will do it. However, that said, with an adapter, the M module could be used, but manual focus of course, but so are the M lens anyway.

I would love to get my hands on some Leica Lenses...but is this really the way to do it? Would it be worth it to pay premium prices for Leica glass when you are using half of the sensor area that M mount lenses were designed for?

In reality almost all the m lenses were designed for film and have no rear coatings so they can still suffer reflections just like older Pentax lenses

If you really want to shoot leica lenses pick up an m6 (or even an m4) and shoot fil

Well, if we manage to do that for 23 days, I bet it will get much easier.

But much more than a K mount unit with an APS-C sensor, I'm hoping for a decent FF unit with any lens mount.

That would be a helluva deal: GXR-KFF! It would sure make a big splash. And how about with a 40mm square sensor? Call it the RicohMat40. I'm creaming already...

The announcement is from the old Golden, Colorado office of PentaxImagingUSA, not the new Denver office, so it's still Hoya-era. Whew. Things can only go uphill from here.

I ain't been keeping up with P&S's. How does this compare to the competition? And will anyone notice?

16mp sensor plus "equivalent to 25-450mm" zoom... The digital revolution fulfills its promise at last!

(he says, waiting to see how the new Nikon and Samsung cameras are going to turn out)

There is an APS-c sensor in the M-module. Besides, until the M9 came out, the Leica folks were using the M8 which was close to an APS-H sensor at around 1.33x.

I resemble that remark.

But since I'm off in the never-never anyway, I'll resurrect a few proposals for the kind of electronics I'd like to see stuck into mountors.

* 6x9cm MF+ sensor -- normal FL will be 100mm
* or a 6x7cm sensor -- normal is 90mm
* 3D / holographic sensor systems
* IR|UV, other spectrum-slicing sensors
* high-res low-ISO B&W sensor
* and why not a Foveon sensor?
* ultra-high-fps video systems

With a component system of body+mountors, such niche mountors would be much more enticing for specialty users IMHO.
