I've been choosing some pics for 20x30" prints, and finding out that higher iso at least from 10K to 20K and perhaps lower, really degrade what you can expect to produce at larger sizes. Of course, its the use of NR that causes the degradation. Just saying that the less NR used for lower iso's, the better able an APS sensor will be to compete with FF sensors for larger prints, IMO.
From what i've read, Canon sensors have not been the industry ISO leaders ever since Nikon produced the D2 and D3 series. Also, Canon has not put AF in camera adjustments in the 50D or 60D.
Interesting comment below about Sony and Samsung cams using full time LV, essentially. Design decisions have sometimes unintended consequences.
