Originally posted by Gillies The good thing about the new voting page is that the cursor stays hovered over the thumbs down.
The bad thing about it is that I almost gave one of my earlier submissions a thumbs down.
.... I've just kept my cursor over the "thumbs down" for over 125 photos just a while back, then the site froze ! Mind you, I did give thmbs up for a couple though.
How did you get to vote on your own pic?
JP
Edit: Of those which I gave the thumbs down included, but not restricted to:
- OOF flower in the middle of the frame
- hoverfly "hovering" half way into the frame ... parts of the fly cut off and OOF
- a patch of OOF water
- a "portrait" without the eyes of the subject, overexposed and .... well there is no subject for protrait.
- part of a B/W OOF dragonfly
- Machu Picchu in sepia and ... OOF
... whoever said that the ratio of bad:good (or vice-versa ?) had gone up is absolutely right.
I am now very much afraid to upload more pictures to PPG for fear of finding my shots OOF when they are not or simply, and perhaps well deserved, rejected altogether.
This can't be right though: how can so many photos be,or seem to be, OOF !??
