K5 - Cash Back - UK

Don't know if this has been posted but Pentax UK, and possibly Europe, have a £90 cash back deal on the K5 and £100 on the Q from now up to Dec 31st with all claims to be in by Dec 15th 2012.

This would put a new K5 and grip at the same price as I got my K20 and grip for in 2008.

Soooo tempting.

There is also a €100 cash back in France on both the K-5 and the Q from November 1st up to December 31st.

Possibly, but they did this on '08 on the K20D and some lenses before the K7 was released.

I bought a K20D Kit with DA16 - 45mm and grip for (if I remember correctly) about £800 with £120 cash back from Pentax later on. VAT was still at 15% at the time as well so I got the FA77 and FA43 Ltds for £600 and £430 respectivly while I was in a spending mood.

So, new camera in the offing maybe??

There is also a cash back in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg of € 100 on the K5 and the Q.
The cash back is also up to Dec 31, 2011.

I just decided to upgrade my K-x to a K5 next week

I have it now and it is a thing of beauty!

Nothing left to do now but have fun taking photos and be very p1ssed off when the new cameras launce in Feb.

I'm currently saving for a K-5 to replace my aging K-x. I'm about £320 the way there!

Good eh? Got it to spend on kit in the sales now.

That's a great turnaround time - over in the US you usually have to wait well over a month!

Yeh, I was pleasantly supprised. The cash back on the K20 took about 6 weeks I think, certainly long enough that I had to think what the cheque was for when it hit my doormat.

If Santa is kind to me tomorrow morning, I may have enough to buy a K-5 as long as I reimburse the £90 straight back into my savings account. I hope!
