I will

wait and see what improvements the higher end camera brings. Then I'll wait and see if Pentax is able to produce them with minimal quality control problems. I have no patience with having to return a new anything because it is defective right out of the box.

The body interests me more than the proposed lenses since I am a little sceptical that the IQ of the long FA* lenses can be surpassed..

I wouldn't mind being proven wrong, though...

I'll see what's announced and then decide. But, if the body is an improvement over the K10D where I want to see improvements then I'll probably get one by the end of next year. If not, then a 50-135 would be on the short list - as well as a macro lens in the 100+mm flavour.

Need the Camera

I'll get the K10D after the new year. Once the K20D/K200D (or whatever they're called) are announced officially the K10D will probably drop further in price. So if I can still find one I'll get one and a 50mm f/1.4 to start off with.

1) If the K20D is everything it's rumored to be, and the AF speed and high ISO is on par with D300 & 5D (yes, I know it's a lot to ask), I'll get it right away

2) DA lenses that hopefully focus faster than my FA Limiteds. The DA35 SDM & DA55 would be the top of my list. I'd love to see a DA85 1.4 at some point. Please!

I'd like some good zooms. Maybe the 12-24 or 16-45 along with the 60-250. I'll have to sell off some of my existing gear to afford them, though.

Already having the 10-17, 16-45, 18-55, 31, A50 1.7, 77, A70-210 f4, DFA100, A*200 macro, and A400 5.6 Don't really need any other lenses (actually have other Pentax lenses). Unless its a very large focal length. I do want the K20D. Oh yeah, I want it. Money is in the bank. Wish body was already under the tree.
thanks

Looking to get teh K10d at the end of January. Will wait for the announcement and get the 16-45. But if the price difference isn't too much...will bite the bullet for the upgrade version.

I have sold a lot of my pentax glass this year, I am hoping that the new stuff will bring me back in. But I have other expenses that I will need to attend to this year as well so we wil have to wait and see.
