I have been seesawing on this camera for the past year almost. I am about to just pull the trigger on it, but does anyone have any recommendations of a zoom lens to go along with the purchase?

As far as I know you can buy the extended warranty from anywhere as long as it is within the 30 days of camera purchase.

Why not just buy both from Adorama?

Adorama just sent me an email with the UPS tracking number for my K-5. Too late to cancel and order from elsewhere. I just saw B&H price matched the K-5. If I knew that, I would have waited and order from B&H like many of my lenses. Oh well, I guess they are equally good.

I was waiting for the Amazon one to go live so I could get the upgraded Prime shipping and get it here tomorrow, but just couldn't resist the deal from BH also benefiting the forum. And BH's cheap 3 day shipping made it easy. The shipping was just $1.60 and I should get it on Thursday.

BTW, I'm making a nice leap from my Km.

Here in NJ you pay 7% sales tax at Adorama but no NJ sales tax at B&H because Adorama has a store in NJ.

Hope is not lost! I was able to get on the waitlist after 15 or so minutes of waiting for it to open up. I was at #134 with my chance of getting it poor, but it just became available and I bought it!

A good zoom lens for the K-5?

I would say the 18-135mm if you're just looking for a walkaround:
