I just downloaded the latest K-5 v1.11 firmware from the pentax.jp website and flashed my K-5s and can confirm that it is indeed v1.11.23.19; the last version was v1.11.23.15
Did you notice any changes?

I just upgraded strait from v1.03 to v1.11.23.19. The only change I notice is the GPS menu.

Maybe the upgrade will just have an update on the copyright notice with the words Ricoh, etc replacing Hoya/Pentax

I doubt it. They need something to put in the Release Notes, don't they?

The only change I could find was the fix for the green button issue in low light. Other than that... it's completely transparent.

Having said that, I am very happy to see they fixed this. Because the issue was a real PITA w/manual lenses.

Isn't it a good thing that patches and firmware updates are nearly invisible to everyone save for the trained eye? That shows that even version 1.0 hardware was nearly on the money.

Hell, one of the firmware updates was because of the GPS device.

The link to 1.12 has gone live. I have just downloaded the 1.12 firmware. The BIN file is called FWDC209B.BIN. The readme.txt file indicates that this is firmware 1.12. No mention of what is changed though......so not yet installed.

Thanks, and there are some unnamed upgrades in the firmware too!

My K-5 + FA43 with 1.12 became almost ideal in terms of AF.

What do you mean with that? Faster or sharper?

Accurate and sharp - I've made almost 120 pictures today in no good condition - snow and no sun: only 8 pictures are waste

my history is here

Apologies for the lateness of my post! I had been away over Xmas and spotted the link was live and came back to this topic first, so missed the others pointing out the link! Anyway, installed with no issues and I have to say, the pictures from a quick snappy session at the weekend seemed better than usual. Either the AF and IQ are better somehow or I've missed the sunshine too much and so anything now looks better.
