I know Pentax-Ricoh have a stand at CES but do we actually know whether they are going to announce anything?

For example, do we know of a press conference date?

I suppose we could work out a possible product announcement date by looking at when other camera manufacturers have press conferences/releases planned. You don't want to announce something at the same time as a competitor.

To a certain degree I can see the wisdom in announcing a product that's not going to be out for a few months (or publicly stating that they are actively developing FF, APS-C mirrorless etc). At the moment Pentax-Ricoh have a lot to prove. Ricoh may view a pre-announcement as beneficial because it backs up all the nice words from just after the Pentax aquisition, even if an actual product isn't forthcoming.

Fuji needs to debug those first two X models before a lot of their faithful re-up - the blooming/orb X10 issue infuriated folks who spent plenty to get weird results. Fuji makes all the glass for Hassy and has made a lot of premium glass in the past. We will have to see if the new glass meets expectations.

Fuji & Kodak were the largest competitor in the film ERA. Seem the first one have succeded in her rebirth and the second one is going to the grave
