In any case, this thread has gone grossly off-topic thanks to a flamer. I'd really appreciate it if it was locked.

Personally I think its all nearly pointless discussion in the end because the future is mIrrorless. I don't think I like the idea of not having a real viewfinder myself but the future will be mirrorless. Will my K-mount lenses fit on mirrorless?

I've gone over tens of thousand of pics on flickr to confirm my suspicion, and that's my conclusion. You're entitled to your opinion of-course, but you're missing my point entirely. I don't care about making large enlargements. What I care about is a photo looking like a photo, and not looking like a snapshot. If you can't see and understand the difference, you never will. So that's that.

Pentax K mount lenses work great on mirrorless bodies.

Well, as Yogi Berra said: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

(Hey, we might as well have some fun with it at this point. )

LOL, nah, Just an honest belief and question. I really don't like live view and rarely use it. But the advantages may outweigh my dislike.

You can't. Because of the crop factor, it's impossible with an APS-C sensor.
Are you sure about that?

Reopened

The thread will remain open if discussions related to the original post remain civil. Thanks.

And as for the K-mount, it indeed will not fade away. It will keep growing steadily.
RH and other supporters will have people believe in mass hysteria that the K-mount is doomed and cause Pentax owners to defect to other systems in order to prove the original assertion...

In the late 70's they said the same about digital watches. It turned out eventually that the old way was the better way to visualise time for most people. Likewise, visualizing or seeing, the most important part of photography, is best done the way it has always been done...
Cameras with optical finders do have electronic ones as well (at least most of them).
