Don't want to sound all negative here since I like the design and I like Pentax glass (and will be buying a mirrorless this year, though not sure what). But I don't really "get" it.
Of course, but to a point.
I already have good focus hit rates using my K5 with LV and a hood-loupe.
But, if you notice, the DSLR implementation is really clunky with the mirror having to go down and then up again for taking a shot.
Totally unusable for anything that moves.
It probably has to to with the mirror/shutter mechanism which won't be solved via firmware and will need a re-design of the mechanism to work otherwise (if possible)
