This is a serious repsonse to the LX-D post - not purple haze, either.
How many people have asked for an LX in digital form?
I suggested it was financially impossible because an LX is a customizable system camera. But this sounds like an imaging box (LX body) with attachments to suit the use(r) - a customizable system!
Portrait format = Waist-level EVF (an LCD?) attachment (TLR reference?)
Landscape format = Eye-level EVF (Prism?) attachment; Sports Finder; Magnifying Finder; Flash-shoe Finder
Compact format = rear LCD (with LiveView?)
Tripod mount = Frame for | Grip? | Flash bracket?
Could there be a K-mount adapter that would reduce the diameter and allow for a shorter register distance? Is the K-mount throat big enough for that? (And don't start with the Deep Throat responses
).
All this stuff could be transferable to a Pro-level system, another reason I didn't believe Pentax could compete with CaNikon. K-7 built volume for the 645D technology - only THEN did we get a 645D. Methinks we may have the FF arguments backwards.
Let your imagination run wild!!
