when the first EVF's came, ther were many firm believers in OVF vs. EVF.... Hello am I the only one left?
Indeed.
Define OVF. The light comes through the lens, is reflected partially off a mirror onto the back of the VF screen. You look through a lens and prism, and see the image on the screen.
I'll define OVF differently. It is the ability to see exactly what the lens is seeing. With some small enhancements to improve composition and focus.
At one point the digital sensor to presenting a photo path surpassed what film could do with increasingly rare exceptions.
The problems with EVF is speed and resolution. At one point the capabilities of EVF will surpass an OVF, except with rare exceptions.
Not certain if the technology is there yet.
