I hope the rumors are missing some crucial aspects that can make this camera design interesting. Barring that, it should at least look good.
Maybe that's where Marc Newson comes into play!

Not "only". Sony provides that already with their SLTs. I guess you probably don't consider them mirrorless, but they are mirrorless if by mirror you mean an SLR one. Even leaving such semantics aside, what technical advantage can a mirrorless K camera provide over a Sony SLT one? To create a K mount mirrorless camera just for the sake of creating one doesn't represent any kind of achievement.
Originally posted by falconeye But with an approach like the K01, the mirrorless and mirrored (EVF and OVF) lines can coexist for a very long time with a single pool of lenses which is the best thing OVF believers could have hoped for.
Assuming that the company can afford to play this game for a very long time.

I forgot about that brand until you mentioned it. Thanks for resurrecting some memories!
Originally posted by drougge But the main point of removing the OVF is to save money, and presumably sell the camera cheaper, not to make it better. (Better would be a hybrid VF.)
An EVF is better than an OVF in many ways. It's also worse in others. There is no "best" here.
