New K-01 mirrorless camera coming

It gets more and more interesting by the minute! It seems that the bodies are already in the hands of the testers. And let's hope the "beauty contest" part is about the color scheme, not about the overall design and layout.

...but it seems that it gets a lot of attention.

Bloggers get paid by driving traffic to their site so rumours and innuendo are the bread and butter of their trade

. Nothing official or new in the news ok make something up based on a previous rumour or a leak someone else published. Embelish it within reason. get quotes from people who may or may not know a damn thing LOL

If they tested the camera.
Maybe they thought the old prototype (quite ugly, I think we agree) is the real thing.

dollars to donuts the editor of DSLR magazine saw this post: Mirrorless Rumors | Blog | I hope Marc Newson can make a better Pentax K design than that one :)

and decided that a) it was ugly, and b) it did not have a viewfinder.

... and didn't realize they were looking at a prototype from the mid-90s.

If i am not mistaken French Pentax guys showed how it will look. Sort of. So i doubt that with all that size and DSLR-like appearance it will not have viewfinder of some sort. It is very uncomfortable to take pictures with half a kilo camera at arms length.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. Apparently, this guy got a peek at something from pentax and was excited. No specifics, just more fuel for the fire.

Although Pentax didn’t announce anything at CES, they showed me a top secret model that’s going to be unveiled within the coming weeks. All I can say is that you’ve never seen anything like it from a design standpoint
