Thanks for the heads-up!

I've checked Marc Newson's site and I have to say it is very much late 50's - early sixties-like!

I hope the "brick" -like camera will not look like anything on his site ... unless someone likes flashy colours on plastic materials !

Man, how do I get on Pentax's good side and get hook ups like this? I would love a trip out to Denver to see this. One, great excuse for a trip to Denver and shoot that place up. And two, first dibs on a new camera.

Not sure if he will do a brick style camera after reading his Wiki page. This is what it has to say about his designs

He incorporates a design style known as biomorphism to his various designs. This style uses smooth flowing lines, translucency, transparency and tends to have an absence of sharp edges.
So based on that, should we expect the new camera to be awesome to hold in hand ?

See, all we had to do to push them to make a k-5 w/o the mirror was to plead for FF body and longer glass. Makes complete sense...if you are a goldfish.

What I could really use is a k-5 without a mirror.

I'm sure you can also use the K-5 that has a mirror.

Yup- it's not an SLR If they played their cards right, the AF and video should be better, but we'll have to wait and see.

The link shows both "Ricoh" and "Pentax" on the front of the K-01...interesting to see if it ends up that way.

I thought everything looked like leftover props from '60's B SciFi movies and TV shows. Well I guess some could be from the early 70's............

The car design looks like a Yugo, the chairs look like torture devices, and the timepieces all emphasis form over function.

This doesn't bode well for folks expecting retro or usability.
