That is really interesting. I could have seen them adding more engineers, but rehiring some of the exact same engineers that Hoya got rid of? That would have to help team morale.
I wonder if there was some bad blood with the Pentax team and how Hoya streamlined the company, getting it ready for market, that we never heard about fully. I know people were pretty angry about Jun Hirakawa being retired, like people have referenced in this thread.
The best news of all this is that the Pentex K-1 is only the beginning. We could see some more goodies later in the year and into 2013. Looking forward to it
