That DA* zoom would have to be a 28-80 f/2.8
why? 28-80 are 42-120...

I guess it'll be a DA-L 50 1,7 (DA-L 35 is also called DA in that pdf). Pentax likes to reuse things.

I really hope they go for maximum IQ and speed.

What about the 550? A DA prime?

I'm afraid it will be a f2. a DAL 50 1,7 would short sell the DA* 55 f1.4.

Not that I care that much, but no DFA lenses?
I would imagine a DFA line would be added to the map when a FF body is announced (so Photokina maybe) the UK guy did say it's subject to change. Change doesn't always mean cancelling things like it did under Hoya it can also mean additions

Well they no longer have to spout the Hoya line that you don't need a TC in the digital world just crop

Why is a 1.4x TC such a difficult thing to produce? 5 years or more Pentax has been saying they were working on one. This has to be the best TC ever designed. IQ had better improve when you use it.

I notice there are is only one serious prime lens on the map at 400mm, and I hope it is at least f/4.

I guess the 85mm f/1.4 and the 135mm f/1.8 are still fantasy.

The DA* limited zoom looks like it might be interesting, I just hope it is an F/2.8 of faster. A 25-75mm f/2 would be on my buy list.

I notice there is not a single DFA lens on the road map. So either Pentax is not planning on any FF or they are keeping it a secret..... I bet is there will not be a FF before 2013.

DA Limited tends to imply small/light, so I'd count on a f/4 lens before a f/2.

Looking at the PDF version of the roadmap, I'm pretty sure not. The DA* looks like a 15 (or 16) – 85mm, as others have suggested; f/4 constant or f/3.5–4.5 probably. I expect this is the much requested WR replacement for the DA 17–70mm, but in DA* trim (though not too expensive, I hope).

The only thing I see in the roadmap that suggests FF is the 50mm denoted as "Standard". Everything else fits just fine with an APS-C–only strategy.
