2012:
ca. 50mm DA Standard -> FF ?
ca. 18-250mm Zoom
ca. 560mm Telephoto

2013:
ca. 20-40mm Zoom Limited
ca. 120-400mm Tele Zoom
ca. 10-30mm Wide Zoom
ca. 15-85mm DA* Zoom
1.4 x Rear Converter

No DFAs?
I sincerely hope that 50mm will be the once rumored DFA 50mm F1.0 SDM that was shown in the roadmap when Hoya owned Pentax.

Pentax has FF?
Perhaps he said it that way because several of the DA* lenses actually cover full frame sensor (tested on film camera).

DA Limited tends to imply small/light, so I'd count on a f/4 lens before a f/2.
Since Pentax seems to be trying to disappoint me, you are probably right. Fast sharp glass is no longer their forte.

None of the lenses have the FA designation.

And the FA 50/1.4 is missing.

That's going to be one big and pricey lens. The Nikon 24-70 F2.8 is huge and costs $1900. It's a great lens but it's a back breaker that's for sure.

Film is much more forgiving that high resolution digital. Center quality would be high, but edge quality would be very poor, and AF points outside the center would be of little use.

Look at the test charts of the FA Limited lenses on APS-C sensors as posted on Photozone or Lenstips. Even on APS-C we see edge quality suffering. Now double the size of the sensor and you have a lens like a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 where the center sharpness is phenomenal, but everything outside the center is very soft and AF points are practically worthless.

I saw a chart somewhere showing the full capability of a number of the DA lenses. Perhaps the new lenses coming out will be Full Frame capable

Or perhaps the names are just placeholders since a FF body hasn't been announced yet.

Who the hell knows?

I saw the test results as well, and a lens like 55mm 1.4 exhibits extreme vignetting in the corner of film. But a man can hope, can he not?

Wow, that really looks good! A "DA Standard lens" is coming this year already! I bet that is a low-cost 50, it's placed at the 50 mark (and they say it's "standard", not "tele"? Hmm! So is it intended for FF too...?). And the "DA Telephoto" is placed at ... 550mm, is it? Wow! Also good that they reintroduce a super zoom this year.
Yes the DA tele is placed at the 550 mark on the pdf version of the roadmap.

I'm wondering if the 550 will be SDM and how fast will the new 50 be..??
Lets hope the sdm follies are eliminated if they use it.

So Pentax is rumored to be hiirng back the lens designers they laid off a couple of yeards ago! So what is Pentax up to? A new series of ultra compact lenses for the K-01? A line of full frame (aka 24 x 36 mm sensor size) lenses? Or??

Exciting times!
The announced that there will be lenses released that work only on the aps-c mirrorless platform but the roadmap only shows the 40 XS. I wonder if that "Standard" they show will end up being a DA 50mm XS.

Yes, it seems to be a star 24-90/2.8. A very expensive lens that does not make that much sense for APS....

My guess us that the 550 will be an F:5.6 lens. It will be brilliant; (semi) affordable and fast enough with todays possibilities of shooting at high ISO. It will also be liftable, hand-holdable and portable as opposed to a 600/4 lens. I own the latter, and believe me when I say that their novelty soon wears off due to their size, weight and unmanagearability(!). Not to mention their prohibitive cost.

You can cope or you can save $200.00 and buy a Sigma 50mm F/1.4 and have faster quieter AF, with better performance from F/1.4-F/4. Why cope? Buy the better lens and save some money.

Unless size and weather sealing are your most important attributes. If anyone really believes Pentax is going to come out with a FF camera then they should not buy DA lenses.

I think it would be an excellent lens for APS-C. There are far more 28-75mm lenses used on APS-C than FF. A 24-90mm F/2.8 would be an excellent walk around lens for a K-5.
