I Think it Looks Great !

I like the looks.

It's very clean looking without frills. Looks pretty user friendly.

Would like to see the backside and see if it looks as good as the front.

Wait, are you saying the person who posted "fake ones ... " above, frank, is the originator / poster of those pix?

So was his post sarcastic and they're not fake, or are they indeed fake?

I don't see how the focus assist light won't be blocked by someone's right hand holding bulge / grip.

edit: correction. That's a IR input. ...never mind ; please ignore.

There's a focus assist light? I can't see it in the small picture.

I think that's the IR receiver for the remote, not a focus assist light.

Actually i kind of like the design.Fuji still looks better, true - but it lacks the K-mount so there it goes. Clearly Pentax did not go for retro look on purpose since it tries for years to get new (usually younger) people in Pentauniverse. Doubt that i will buy the camera because K-5 rocks, but 21 XS lens sounds very promising. What is the bigger problem is lack of EVF, but if Pentax will somehow counterbalance it with features and price plus external EVF option it could be pretty good development.

Oh .. hahaha ... I'll edit my post. Thanx for the correction.

RE-Edit: Based on a very heavily shopped larger image posted on ClubSnap, it seems like there's a focus assist light at the top of the body, below the function dial on level with the K-01 branding. But the image is heavily artifact-ed, so it may not be a focus assist light. ...Hoping that 'thing' is it tho, and it has one.

Since all my beautiful K mount primes are relegated to MF and stop down metering on any other mirrorless body, I will take any body that can lighten the load, maintain AF and aperture and give the same image quality as my K-5. If it looks butt ugly, it will not be mistaken for a high end cam worthy of stealing so that is fine with me too. My camera club members already stare at my K-5 so how will the new body be different.

In that regard (metering) any green exposure button to be seen in the leaked photos?

Oops, there it is. Got that ... Check!

I agree. Overall, I don't think the basic body is as bad as some of the rest here. And I could be wrong, but it looks a lot more rugged than comparable cameras.

Looks like something from the early 80's. Maybe the Apple II?

I'm really digging the design. Don't know why every camera that comes out has to look exactly like the cameras we've been seeing for the last seven decades.

Call me bold, but I'll be picking one up on release.
