This model is one to forget as quickly as possible and it's an insult to see Pentax hand over money to some goof ball who can't design cameras.

You mean $900. We can't expect the P&S crowd to have their own K mount lenses, and the camera isn't very appealing to those that already have a DSLR, what with its lack of VF and slower shutter/FPS than the K-5. Granted, they will sell a few to Pentax DSLR owners who want a different video experience, but I can't see that niche being enough to justify the model. Most people will still need a lens to go with it, and those without much knowledge of the available options will just go with the kit lens.
On an aside, I'm deeply disturbed by the fact that I agree with you 100% on this.
