This is by far the most interesting news to me. Barring any obstacles or unforeseen changes,
the road-map should alleviate fears of Pentax going under. Seems to me that Ricoh is starting to
respond to concerns and setting the stage for the future of Pentax. It looks increasingly likely that Pentax
will have an "upgrade path".

finally something in the 500-600mm range - shame its not da* though - but since its a prime might be a ltd instead whihc is good but weather sealing would be nice too but if its a ltd with wr then why not just call it da*?

still its a nice addition regardless

some are not the lenses I need, but for sure some that bring other users to pentax.

Ricoh looks promising. Lets see whats behind the 50mm lens - a rivival of the FDA50 1.7 as cheap entry level prime in addition to the DA35 F2.4

Awesome! Lots of good stuff on there. But still, the big gaping hole is the lack of something like a 24/1.4 or 30/1.4. I would love one of those, especially for video.

DA Standard 50mm lens: might be a revised 1.4/50 (boring), or... drums... DA 1.2/50mm

I'm guessing it'll be something like a DA 1.7/50 (still boring)

If there'll be a FF DSLR in autumn (I'm pretty sure) this lens will certainly be FF, too. So DA might just be a synonym for DFA limited or DFA*. I think it would be rather pointless for Pentax with its WR bodies not to make such an expensive high end lens WR, too. I guess they just don't want to lay open their FF plans right now.

The 550 fills the one gaping hole in their lineup.. nice because I can't get there even with a 300 F4 and the 1.7 teleconverter. I wonder hwo slow it will be though. Can you really hope for better than F 5.6?
