Actually, I hope they'll have a nice stand at Photokina - please, Pentax, you have the 645D: you can make huge amazing prints. Which is something Canikon can't do The mini cameras last time were a good idea, but it's time for something more "serious".
Can't wait to see it.
With Nikon, you can.

They had a huge print from the 645D at his launch party.

And you're very right, the D800 has the pixel amount to rivial the 645D but not the pixel quality.

The D800 is looking very good, although not as good as the 645D. But the D800E should be able to get pretty close. I'm guessing in the end, the D800/D800E will be able to make "huge amazing prints", but may not have that "certain something" that some 645D photos would have. Just a guess.

The D800 sensor outperforms the 645D's.. just not as many MP.. the D800E will be a monster, but I guess it will be how HUGE you are looking to print.

The 645D produce cleaner images then the D800 and seem to resolve slightly more details but not much if any, the E version is sharper from what I seen but also less clean, i really wonder what is left after you cleaned the image up.

Anvh, in Japan aka the Far, Far Away Kindgom They should do it at e.g. Photokina, in fact with every occasion.
Let Nikon worry if they have anything to match

I would indeed love to see more images, it also serve as a way to put artist that use their camera in a spotlight. I believe many would appreciate that and it would dress up the place as well.
And come on how much would it cost Pentax, hell they can use my images for free if they put my name on it

The 645D doesn't have an AA filter.

I'm pretty certain it just ships without, it's not an option (just like the leica m9), unless they made an announcement i missed since the release.
AFAIK none of the MF cameras use an AA filter and neither the leica M8.2 or m9 do. the D800e is the first more mainstream product that doesn't (and the first camera I know of offered both ways)

I don't believe there are any MFDs that ship with an AA filter, aliasing artifacts are supposedly mitigated somewhat by lens design and software solutions.

I guess the Nokia 808 and Pentax Q don't have AA filters either. It wouldn't make sense. Probably true for all mobile phone and P&S cameras with high pixel counts.
