And, as always, this indicates that the Q is on the way out.

(A Silver Limited body in Pentax land always means that the camera will be discontinued soon).

Looks good in this variant. I imagine the limited nature will mean markets that sold the Q well will see the bulk of the stock (it will be interesting to see where it's offered it will indicate where it did well)

I still like the Q even if it's not really the camera for me.

Local pricing here in Toronto would indicate it's entering the final 6 months of life as well. a local shop has been hovering at 550-570 dollars lately (and at this price i actually see decent value, it's tempted me (K-01 announcement staved off that temptation it's much closer to what i want - and big enough for me to use

)

Im also tempted by the Q at the prodigital2000 price point of $499. It does look awesome in silver though

Maybe I will hold off and see if a new Q is announced later in the year

Wow! That's my price (tho I wanted that price walking into B&H or Adorama). I think I'll get that and a bottle of silver paint or nail-polish.

got to say 499 seems a magic price for it.

with the prime (black also available I believe). You can search for the seller on these forums, well respected I believe (not used them personally though)

I know the seller. it's actually a camera store in St Catherines online identity . these prices are not at the B&M store but it would be close (like $550 as Aden has been doing lately)
499 is quite tempting. maybe i have to stop in and play with one to decide if its too small and then i'll wait for a k-01
I know my wife liked the way the Q looked when it came out last year but wasn't happy about the price

I tried a Q out in Aden the other day, I was very impressed. The IQ is not really all that far off my K200D (given the older sensor tech of the K200D). Just not sure if I can live with the deep DOF, and lack of a good 24mm or less equivalent lens
