you're right though i would bet on it being a 72-77mm filter depending on design

no matter which way you look at it a 30mm 1.2 would be a monster lens and heavy

be a pretty sweet street shooting lens though at night .(though a 24 1.4 would be better i think for that)

I think Pentax ought to make one of those pinhole lenses for all their mounts. Couldn't cost that much and they might sell more than they think.

You're correct, increasing the area of 62mm by half a stop would only require a 77 mm filter.

If it wasn't for sigma we'd have no fast 20-30mm primes available for K mount. As it sits we have 24/28/30/ plus the 85 all fast none of which exist in the Pentax lineup plus the UWA & fisheye primes like the 4.5 and the 10mm
and pending 150 which is also a missing FL (no 135 from anyone )

I'd say that the 31mm and 77 mm are reasonable surrogates for the 30 and 85... in fact all things considered I prefer the Pentax designs.

You are correct that bridging the gap between the 15mm, which I love, and the 31 with one prime isn't the best solution in the world. Since I respect photozone's opinion on lens reviews, the 21mm almost doesn't count, and that's a big gap to fill.

and I'm sure it would be profitable have you looked at the silly prices on lensbaby stuff. someone does make a k mount pinhole out there . If Pentax made it in a metal version bet they could sell it for $99 and essentially it would just be a body cap with a precision hole. I'd certainly consider getting one for fun (though really i could make my own i have enough body caps, just need the correct bit for the hole (metal from a pop can, glue and the smallest hypodermic needle you can find - calling all diabetics for used needles )
