Could be, also why is it fiited with the cheap-o rear cap? Looks pretty worn too, it has wear mark's all over it!

I never thought that they would actually do these recessed into the mirrorbox lenses. It seems as such a bad idea. The first XS lens works on the K5 but this one doesn't (I guess). So they will probably make what, 2-3 k-mount lenses that will only work on mirrorless bodies, so weird.

Why? It's brilliant. Instead of introducing a whole new mount and a complete new lens lineup, you make a couple of these recessed lenses. For longer lenses, a longer flange distance is just an advantage (you're basically reusing a tube that has to be included with every lens on those short-flange systems).
