No new K-5+
No- FF body
No- new Kr
No nothing?????
Nikon, Canon and Sony didn't announce new low-end and middle-end cameras too.

Only Olympus and Nikon (and Sigma) offer new cameras.

New DSLR will be on spring and on Photokina.

What is Prime lens, I do not think a plastic constructions like the new 50mm f1,8 or the 35mm f2,4 are primes, they are fixed focal lenses, but not primes - in my opinnion.
A prime should be with metal bajonet and probably with metal body too besides a good optical construction.

And how do you make difference between plastic mount zooms and metal bayonet ones?

You are probably correct and the rest of us are confused.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In film and photography, a prime lens is either a photographic lens whose focal length is fixed, as opposed to a zoom lens...

I told that it was only my personal opinnion
I have only one lens with plastic mount, and I'm sure the mount will not last for ever like all my other mounts.
In my opinnion you save money in wrong place if you make the mount of what ever plastic.
I'm an old guy, and I think that metal is metal and plastic is plastic.
I could tell you a sad story of a plastic bike Itera, but may be you only read its history:
Plastic bicycle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The stupid guys from Volvo believed on a bike made nearly 100% of plastic, that was a huge mistake and a really expencive disaster.
There are several places in where plastic is a good solution, may be even the best one, but not in a lens mount

The plastic mount lenses are there to meet a very tight price point. No other reason.

If you don't like the 35 or the 50 with a plastic mount, there are a number of other options.

Not everyone can afford the 31mm ltd.

What is the problem? Buy FA31 or 43 Limited. Or even FA50/1.4 and FA35/2.

The main aim is good photos I think...The lens could be fetish or could be tool.

Yes it is slower and should be cheaper than the DA*55 1.4. By like, a huge margin in terms of price. But speed?

f/1.8 being slow for a 50 or what is... not really. The DA40 is 2.8, the DA 70 is in similar range too. Now if 2.x is slow for a LIMITED ... (comparing the FA 77 1.8 to the DA 70), how is the DA 50 1.8 that slow compared to even just the FA 50 1.4?

I have no problem at all, I only told my opinnion about what I would call a prime.
And for sure, the lens only target is to be optically good, but if the mount wear out after some years usage, the optical result may be affected by slack mount.
If those lenses I bought 1975 would be with plastic mount, I'm not sure they would be with out any slack today. I'm really happy those old lenses are well built with metal mount
I took this matter up, because I do not believe the 50mm f1,8 would be sooo much higher in price even it would be made with metal mount
As I told, this is only my opinnion, and I actually do not have any problem with this matter.
For me it is ok to stop talking about which kind of constructions are worth to be named as prime

What you call 'plastic' is polycarbonate (PC) aka Lexan, VERY tough and resilient. I paid much money (more than for any lens!) for Lexan windscreens for my recumbent bicycles, and worth every penny -- no scratches or bends or breakage. Metal dents. Glass breaks. Polycarbonate bounces. Some of the internal elements in many many lenses now are polycarbonate, because PC can be cast in ways that glass can't. Polycarbonate isn't used just to meet price points, but because it's a superior material for many applications. The PC mount on my ZX-M shows less wear than the metal mount on my MV-1.

Too many people want to pay next to nothing for a stellar lens.
It just doesnt work like that, if you want the best.... you have to be pay for it

Mount isn't everything. My metal barrell metal mount Tokina AT-X 28-85mm from 1982 can't focus any more, same thing with my Vivitar 24mm/2.8 bought a couple of years later (but my Pentax M-135/3.5 from 1979 (I think) shows no signs of serious wear yet, neither do 2xM-50/1.7 and one Cosinon 50/1.8).

And btw... the 35/2.4 is a wonderful lens (My daughter got one for Christmas).

Believe me, I know about plastics, and know also that there might be even more different kind of plastics than metals.
I have worked during 1966-67 in a factory using a lot of Polycarbonate in their production, they call it bullet proof material.
I wonder why Pentax and all other lens manufacturers do use metal (stainless steel) in their normal and high end lens mounts.
Why would Pentax make DA 55-300mm and DA L 55-300mm with different mount material if the plastic is sooo goood? No doupt I prefer the DA version of that lens if I buy one.

I'd say it's because of peoples perception about what a quality lens looks like and not so much about the reality of which is better.

I'm pretty happy about the announcements, but it would be nice to know the focal length of the K-01 lens. I'm just so curious
