Could you check how that discount applies? My PHOX store tells me that the price for the DA 35 2.4, 169 eur, is already discounted and no further discount applies, however, that price seems to be standard all over france round about....
Bonsoir JFN,

As I understand it, the rebate applies to the retail price posted in the store ... PHOX Poitiers is part of the "Numipixel" and "Photo Univers" websites, but they won't allow the rebate to apply to purchases from these sites.

169 is the price on Numipixel ... so maybe that's the rock bottom price which is only possible!? Does seem to be a standard price ...

See Pentax Objectif DA 35 f/2.4 AL Pentax

Hope this helps ... allez et bon courage, John

Thanks.

So, do you have any clue about the store prices on the mentioned lens? The 169 E price seem to be standard all over France, pixmania, rue du commerce etc. so not that exciting with the Phox 50 E discount then...

Bonjour JFN,

I have this lens and it's great ... super "bang for the buck" as we would say in the States.

I am waiting on the new DA 50mm f1.8 that will be coming out this year ... will probably buy it ASAP.

Allez et salut, J

I have the FA/1.4. I'm very curious how it would compare to it.

Well, the DA35/2.4 really is an FA35/2 in disguise, so no wonder it is a very good lens. The DA50/1.8 though, being a new design..
Too bad QS will be left over once again

At least with an aperture ring, it would be useable on my MX

Yup, if the 50 1.8 is sub 200 eur, I'll grab one too, instantly. Got 2 (soon 3) film bodies and my K-r now, feels like another prime will not hurt....

The DA 35 f/2.4 arrived today, a quite nice lens which so far feels great, though it's a bit bigger than I expected it to be, but at least it's not heavy which is perfect for my shooting habits...

I have a business trip wednesday on which I will bring two film bodies (MZ-6 and MZ-7) one for BW and one for color to be able to shoot simultaneously depending on what I feel is interesting at the moment (first time I'll be shooting color film!!), so hopefully I have some negs to scan during next week..

(My K-r is still on warranty repair, it's been a month now....)
