I got lucky I guess Also that's one of the reason I became a pentaxian cause I was able to get a white K-r from them with the 18-55 + 55-300 kit for I guess an awesome price. If it wasn't from them I'll be a nikon guy who'll be using my dslr as a P&S.

I actually almost ended up living about 15 minutes away as well. We put an offer in on a house in Vienna about five years ago but didn't end up getting it (despite putting an above asking price offer on it).

Oh, Oh - hey, funny, I meant to message you, I got a bag that will blow your mind (then you hear the price and it really blows your mind)...
Maybe this bag fits all your Silver K-5 needs, just a bit of sharpie magic and you are set to go. I saw this young woman with this bag this morning and had to take a snap (with my silver K-5, of course).

It was right about the time when the housing bubble burst. The house came up on the market for about 50k lower than we thought it would (we knew it was about to be listed, inside info from someone who lived in the neighborhood). Anyway, we offered about 10k above their asking price, but there were two other offers, one of which was for 50k above asking. The irony is that if they had priced the house 50k higher, we probably would have offered that amount as that's what we thought the house was worth, but at the time I didn't think we'd have to offer 50k above asking to get it. Oh well.

It worked out for the best as it turns out my wife told me after that she didn't really want to move to VA (we were in MD at the time). I told her next time that was information that would have been helpful to know before putting a 700k offer on a house

Looks like this new LIMITED silver edition has a different grip. The original silver K5 has a slightly bulkier grip:
I have both the K5 and K7 in silver.....looks like they reused some of the K7 components?

I'm not that big on the chunky grip of the K5 but the focusing screen that came with the K7 is superb. (only if I could find a copy for my K5....??)

Anyways, other than being silver, any other special features?

The focusing screen is different on the Silver K-7? How much better is it?

Can somebody tell me what's the point of using the 40mm XS pancake on a DSLR? I mean even the old DA 40mm is miniscule.

That was exactly my thought. Didn't they always make a special edition before releasing a new camera?

Excellent! More people should own a silver one. It is the greatest. YMMV.
