Kind of odd that it is available through the Pentax web store and Ace Photo. I don't know anything about Ace Photo and how they were chosen to be an exclusive dealer for this item. Hmmmm.

They're using the PENTAX-DA 40mm F2.8 XS lens on this one too. Interesting. Pentax USA - why ACE Photo? More marketing brilliance?

Let's not go with nationally recognized camera sellers for our Limited Edition but an obscure camera store in Ashburn VA with an antiquated website.......wow.

Apparently Pentax Imaging LOVES Ace Photo:

Maybe it's a regional thing - judging by the amount of users just on this small community of pentax users from VA MD & VA (myself included), looks like this area may dominate in the united states for pentax equipment sales.

Now I feel even more obligated to get out to Ashburn to check out Ace

I can't tell if it's going to blow my mind because it's super expensive or super cheap...

Looks like Ace Photo has the same prices as the Pentax Web Store. You're right Docrwm, they have a horrible website to find anything.

I do remember going to their website within the past year and found it to be quite bad. I think I spent all of two or three minutes on their site before moving on.

Calls 'em as I sees 'em. It's being treated like an aside instead of a serious release. Of course the Pentaximaging site is still telling me about the 10/1/11 merger, the WG-2, the K-5, and a combo of the Q and 645. The products page has the 645, K-5, WG-II and Q along with a DA35/2.4 on it.......

Looks like this new LIMITED silver edition has a different grip. The original silver K5 has a slightly bulkier grip:
