Would anyone be so kind enough as to upload the photos from photo rumors to here? For whatever reason I can't access their website (have tried two different networks).

Besides, hot-linking is naughty

Now... judging from those blurry drawings of the K-z - doesn't it look like something between the K-x and the K-r in design?

These threads aren't about information. They are about whining about how Pentax isn't selling a weather sealed full frame that looks like a LX for $100.

+1. They need to be polite and wait their turn. Until, say, September. Or maybe February.

May, 2012 -> K-r replacement
  • focus peaking
  • 16Mp sensor
  • Prime M imaging engine
  • interchangeble body colors

1919 - 1979 = 60 years of Asahi Optical.
1980 = LX -> Roman Numerals for 60, in honor of the anniversary of the company.
  • Dust and moisture sealed
  • OTF metering
  • Interchangeable viewfinders
  • a host of professional attachments

May, 2012 = 60 years since the debut of the Asahiflex.
2013 = LX-D -> in honor of the anniversary of the pioneering reflex camera.
  • Dust and moisture sealed
  • cutting-edge FF sensor and imaging engine
  • Un-crippled K-mount metering
  • Interchangeable viewfinders
  • superior autofocus
  • a host of professional lenses
Be of good cheer, Pentaxians. Ricoh has a plan and you will be happy.

we've had this conversation, it would make me very happy (whether i could afford it up front or have to wait a year) an LX-D is a dream Ff and unique and a hole in the market

This is like Tom Swift and His Electric Time Viewer meets Groundhog Day: We've read all of these posts before. Twice. Re: K-X and K-r.

Adam, would you please create a Strategic Colored-Camera Post Reserve that we can tap each time Pentax announces/delivers a body that is neither white nor black ????

This is going to be an entry level model, it's specs won't be anything to write home about so why would Pentax lead with specs instead of something no other DSLR manufacturer is doing? I don't like several (read: most) of the colors the K-r was offered in, but I really do like some of them that are off the beaten trail. (If I had the option with the K-5 I probably would have gone with white+brown or silver+brown, then again that navy blue+black combo is pretty snazzy...)
Red+Yellow #73 is so McDonald's lol =))
