Since the K 30 rumour has floated for some time now, and there is supposed to be an announcement this month on a KR replacement (also rumoured for months now) and there is a photo show in Australia this month.... logic is the announcement will be around the Aussie show (next week i think)

Indeed. This catalogue has just been printed and is not supposed to have been sent out yet. May be some copies have been distributed inadvertently, may be the leak comes from the printing house itself.

This is going to cannibalize K-5 sales like crazy, because it basically is a K-5, excepting details like the top LCD and expansion to ISO 51200, both of which don't really matter to most people. What that means is probably not that Pentax/Ricoh is stupid, but that the K-5 replacement is also imminent.

Another "detail": nowhere it is said that the viewfinder is a pentaprism.

But Ricoh are in favour of value for money, that's for sure.
